This new feature, for our Premium Subscribers only, will tell you how the standard of your performance varies over every session of snooker you’ve played. Your last three months of performances are in red, the three months prior to that in yellow, and all the older stuff in green. Armed with this information, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the highs and lows of your game, and put each new match performance in better context.
You would expect to see what’s known as a normal distribution once you’ve played enough sessions, just like the one above (which belongs to yours truly). There will be considerably less spread in the performance if you typically play a few frames at a time than if you routinely play “just one frame” against each opponent. Virtually all of my matches are four or five frames in duration – there would be a fair number of statistical outliers otherwise, because there’s plenty of individual frames when I can’t scrape a pot from anywhere as well as one or two when I win in a smaller number of visits.
